Wii

I seriously have the cutest husband ever. Jeremy surprised me last night by knocking on the door and running. He left a huge pile of sacks at the door with a Wii and everything to go with it. He knew I wanted the Wii fit so he got me that and all the accessories. He really is the best husband in the world. We set it all up last night and played until 2.

Yesterday I went to a baby shower for Lauren. It was so much fun and I am so excited for her. Her little boy is due in December.

Happy Anniversary

We had our 2nd anniversary on August 4th. I can't believe it has already been two years. We had a great day. We celebrated by going to Toad's and playing arcade games and mini golf.

I have the most incredible husband in the world. I love him so much and I appreciate all he does for me. He works so hard and still finds time to make every day special. He truly is the love of my life. Thanks for being a perfect husband. I love you Jeremy.

Utah Trip *Home Sweet Home*

We got to go home to Utah for a few days. Jeremy was only able to stay for a few days but I was home for 11 days. It was so great. We came home for Jessica's, Jeremy's sisters, wedding. It was amazing. We are so excited for Jake and Jes. I was also able to go to my parents cabin and I was able to see Tara and Brian get married. It was a great trip and we loved being home. We have missed our families so much. We love you all.

Le Tour de New Berlin

Jeremy and I really love road biking. We have really enjoyed watching the Tour de France this year. In honor of the Tour I decided for a date night that we would have our own tour. We live in New Berlin so naturally I named it Le Tour de New Berlin. I seriously went all out for this. I just might have gotten a little carried away. We had 10 stages, in each stage there were different contests or games where the winner would receive points and a prize. It was like an ultimate game night and we played every game we have and I even made up some of my own games.
This is the real authentic Tour de New Berlin Sign. I really did get a little carried away. Jeremy was laughing when he saw that I even painted a sign.

This is Jeremy playing some game I made up.

I won stage 2 and Jeremy took me for ice cream.

I also won the Frisbee throwing stage.

The bubble gum contest was the best. It took Jer a while to get this off his cute face.

Jeremy won this contest by a long shot. I need to work on my bubble skills.

So Jeremy ended winning almost all the stages. He also won all the Jersey's (if you follow biking at all you will understand how overboard I went with this.) He won the Yellow Jersey which he is wearing. He won the Green Jersey (Sprint stages), and Red Polka Dot Jersey (Mountain Stages).

I promise I'm really not crazy I just wanted to plan a fun date for Jeremy because he works so hard everyday. This was my small way to show him how much I appreciate all he does for me. We really had such a fun night. Maybe one day we will get to see the real Tour.

Chicago Temple

On Thursday me, Jamie, Britney, and Lauren went to the Chicago Temple. It was such a great day. The temple is small but it is beautiful. It was so nice to be able to go and feel the spirit. I have always appreciated having a temple so close by in Utah but now I have a whole new appreciation.

After the temple we headed into downtown Chicago for dinner. We ate at the House of Blues.

We finished the night off with ice cream at Magie Moo's. I'm so grateful for these girls. It's so nice to have such great friend when I'm away from home. From Left to right: Lauren, Me, Jamie, and Britney.

My Feathered Friend

Ok so birds slightly freak me out. For the last few days this dove will show up and sit on my balcony. It kind of freaks me out because it will just stare in the window forever. Oh it gives me the creeps. It's like it is just watching me and waiting. I know I'm weird but I've never felt comfortable around birds. It's like they can sense I don't like them and they always show up. Like the other day I was on a run just enjoying nature and a red winged blackbird seriously started hovering over my head and kept following me for like 10 sec. It totally freaked me out. I took off running faster than I ever have. Jeremy said I must have been some where near its nest. Talk about a protective mother.

Happy 4th!

I really do love the 4th of July. I think it is one of the greatest holidays. It was a bit different for us this year being away from home. Jeremy worked for the first part of the day so me and some of the wives, Jamie and Britney, ran in the 5k. It was super humid but we all did great. We stayed for the parade after. I thought that this lady was awesome.

When Jeremy got off work we went to a carnival at a near by park in New Berlin. It had rides, games, and tonz of food.

Jeremy attempted to win me a fish, but in the end he had no luck. It really was harder than it looks. The ping pong ball just didn't want to go into the little bowl.

How great is that face. We ate so much food. It was fun to get a taste of everything.

We spent most of our money on Skeeball. Jeremy was good but I must say I was much better. I even won the smallest prize in the world.

Yes this is the fantastic prize I won in Skeeball. We were laughing so hard when the guy pulled this out. It said it was a small prize and they weren't kidding.

So all Jeremy had to do was throw 1 dart and hit one balloon to get a prize. How hard can it be right? So he thew he dart and well he missed. It was so funny. The lady felt bad so she let him throw it again for free. He hit it this time and he got the sweet helicopter spin thing in the picture below. I wanted to see what it did so I told him to make it fly. He said he was nervous he would hit someone. I convinced him that he could just do it softly and no one would get hurt. Well he did it softly and if you can see in the back ground in the pic below there is a guy sitting in a red chair well as soon as Jer let it fly it hit this guy right in the back of the head. Jeremy felt so bad. I guess he wont let me talk him into doing things anymore. Ha Ha.

We played games on the blanket as we waited for the fireworks. It was so fun spending the forth with just the two of us.

The fire works were great. They lasted a really long time and we really enjoyed them. We had a great day together celebrating the incredible country we live. I truly am grateful for all the freedom we have. We are so blessed to live in America.
